Federer on Monday may again become the world’s first racket
Spaniard Rafael Nadal has retained the title of world’s first racket in the rating published by the Association of tennis professionals (ATP) on June 22. However, if the Swiss Roger Federer wins SS Wimbledon, he will shift Nadal in the first line of the rating.
In a rating of 22 June on Nadal’s account was 12735 points. Spanish earned 2000 points at Wimbledon -2008, which Nadal won. the world ranking leader declined participation in the 2009 Wimbledon because of injury, so when the ATP published a new version of the rating, the Nadal’s account was 10735 points.
Federer on the second position, and has 10620 rating points. At Wimbledon 2008, he went to the finals and earned 1400 points. So if the Swiss win SS Wimbledon 2009, adding to his rating 600 points, he will run away from Nadal.
Federer led the world tennis ranking for 237 weeks, but in August 2008 Nadal became the world’s first racket. Swiss have repeatedly stated that he is going to return the title of the best tennis player the world.
